In light of recent events regarding the ongoing proposed sale of Birmingham City, Blues Trust would like to reaffirm its commitment to safe guarding the future of our club.
We continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes in order to build upon new and existing lines of communication with Birmingham City, some of which have only recently been established; a testament to the hard work and effort of all members and volunteers who have unselfishly gave up their valuable time.
Events over the past month have no doubt left fans both concerned and frustrated as the ongoing takeover saga continues to unfold day by day, most notably the public war of words between two prominent members of the takeover process and this morning’s news of a further delay to Carson Yeung’s trial; the latest twist in the entire debacle. The lack of tangible communication is not acceptable. Fans deserve better and answers remain our immediate priority.
While confidentiality laws must be adhered to, significant progress has been made in establishing a truer picture of the takeover situation and we welcome Peter Pannu’s recent statement outlining the current status of any proposed sale of Birmingham City. Members can rest assured that future updates and developments will be communicated as and when appropriate as we continue to press all sides for increased transparency and openness.
No further comment will be made at this time.
