Following the publication of Birmingham City Football Club’s latest accounts for the year ending 30th June 2012, Blues Trust has issued an open letter to Peter Pannu.
The letter raises a number of important points to Mr Pannu after the Trust’s accounts analysis identified numerous issues surrounding the club’s financial health, its future financial strategy in order to ensure Birmingham City FC continues to operate as a going concern as well as various governance issues; notably relating to the club’s Xtep kit deal.
Trust members and fans alike were angered to learn of a six figure salary, in the region of £680,000, was paid to an unnamed Director at a time when the club is operating in such a perilous financial stage. The Trust feels that, as the club’s acting Chairman, Mr Pannu has a both a duty and a responsibility to keep Birmingham City fans fully up-to-date with club related matters.
The Trust urges Mr Pannu to respond to this open letter – answering the subsequent questions listed – as a matter of urgency. A copy of the letter sent to M Pannu can be downloaded here.
