Looking to the future

by | 4 May 2016 |

On Thursday I hope to learn a little more about Birmingham City’s future both on and off the pitch. For the last 10 days I’ve been following the news from Hong Kong that Daniel Ivery has posted on Often Partisan. Now he’s returning to Birmingham and I’ll be meeting up with him for a chat about what he has learned from his trip. We’ll probably be in the George around 6.30 pm, before the Birmingham Senior Cup Final at St Andrew’s. Come and say hello if you are there.

Daniel’s investigative work has helped Blues fans understand what is happening in Hong Kong and its significance for the future of our club. The Birmingham Senior Cup Final will give us some idea of our future on the pitch. There won’t be an Emergency Loan system next season and Gary Rowett has said that some of our Development Squad players are “going to be our emergency loans.” I hope it will be a good game and that there will be a decent crowd to support the team.
