Player awards

by | 21 Apr 2017 |

When April 19 was chosen as the date for supporter groups to present their awards, nobody knew that we’d present them at the end of Harry Redknapp’s first training session.  We saw the end of the session and the warm down before they went back down the tunnel. Then the three players who had been chosen by the different groups came back onto the pitch to receive their awards. Lukas Jutkiewicz received an award from Blues 4 All. Tomasz Kuszczak received awards from Redditch Blues and North West Blues. David Davis received awards from Blues Collective, Blue Lagoon and Blues Trust.

It wasn’t the most convenient day for the club to entertain a group of fans so I’d like to thank Rachele Johnson, the Supporter Liaison Officer, who made it possible.  I’d also like to thank Blues fan Neil Grant and the others at Crescent Silver who made our trophy in such a short time.  It was great to be able to present an award made in the Jewellery Quarter by a fan.
