Advance notice of 2017 Annual General Meeting and Election of Board Members

Advance Notice of 2017 AGM and Election of Board Members
The 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Blues Supporters Society Limited (known as Blues Trust) will take place at 11 am on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 before the Nottingham Forest game. We expect to hold it in a meeting room at St Martin in the Bull Ring but details about the venue will be announced later.
We would like to know how many to expect at the meeting so please click here and register if you are planning to come.
Our rules allow us to have between six and ten members on our board. We would like to increase the number of elected members to eight. This makes five places available for election as Phil Beardmore, Peter Bull and Cliff Horrocks still have one more year of their two-year terms to serve.
Should there be five or fewer candidates for the vacancies, there will not be a formal ballot but instead each candidate will be put before the AGM for the approval of members. If there are more than five candidates, ballot papers and candidates’ statements will be sent to all members.
Blues Trust members are invited to propose resolutions for consideration at the AGM and submit nominations for board members. Resolutions and nominations may be submitted by email or by post from the addresses that members provided as their contact email addresses.
If you want to submit a resolution and have it included in the notice of the AGM, you should send it to the Trust by September 9th and include the wording of the resolution and the names, email addresses and/or phone numbers of the members proposing and seconding the resolution.
If you wish to stand for election to the trust board, you need to:
• be a paid-up member of Blues Trust,
• be nominated by two other members of the trust.
• submit a nomination and statement in support of it no later than September 9th, 2017.
The nomination form provides more details and is available in Word format here and in PDF format here. It is also available in our Official Documents section.
The election policy is available for download on the Documents page of our website.
Please contact Cliff Horrocks, cliff.horrocks@bluestrust.org, if you have any questions about the election. if you wish to check the membership status of someone who is nominating you or seconding a resolution, or if you require any other information, please email the Trust at admin@bluestrust.org or write to the Trust at the following address.
