Help wanted

During the year 2018, the Trust’s membership increased quite considerably and is still growing.  Currently, it has 923 members of which 365 are paid, voting members and the remainder are e-members who’ve signed up for newsletters.

During its Annual General Meeting last November, those present felt that the Trust should strive to grow its membership so that it has a louder voice in its mission of:

  • developing the relationship with the club
  • increasing supporter influence
  • promoting supporter involvement

The current Board comprises only 5 individuals who carry out their duties entirely voluntarily and freely.  It needs help in broadcasting its aims and mission and increasing its membership base.  In particular, assistance is wanted in the fields of Social Media and membership development.

What do these positions require?  [Click below to see general job descriptions.]

The purpose is to increase the profile of Blues Trust on social media platforms by:

  • Posting scheduled and reactive messages

  • Encouraging and moderating comments and interaction

This is a voluntary role (not paid):

  • Working with and receiving support from a Blues Trust Board member
  • Where time commitment is expected to be approximately 5 hours per week
  • That would suit students studying social media marketing or Blues fans with an interest in this area
  • Working within the Trust’s principles and supporting the Trust’s mission

The purpose is to increase the membership of Blues Trust by:

  • Designing, leading and implementing campaigns
  • Producing and publicising material to support campaigns

This is a voluntary role (not paid):

  • Working with and receiving support from a Blues Trust Board member
  • Where time commitment is expected to be approximately 8 hours per month

If you have or know someone that has interest in any of the above roles, please do get in touch, preferably through email, by contacting the Trust at margaretdecker@bluestrust.org. Or, you can use our contact form here.

We look forward to hearing from you

A few months ago we launched a fan engagement exercise in the form of a survey. A link is here to the introductory article, “Blueprint 2025“.  The Trust wants to ask you, the loyal supporters, to help us shape a vision for Blues fit for 2025 and our 150th Anniversary year.  Click on the image or here to complete the survey.

Better late than never I guess. I was one of the original steering group. Became very disillusioned back then. I now do not have the resources to commit time to the project. Shame, big opportunity missed.
