'In Off The Post' - Over to you!

Blues Trust is inviting anyone who is a Member of the Trust to submit a written article for publication on the website. The article can be as long or as short as you think fit. Hope And Belief – A Welcome Return
BRENTFORD TEST NEXT UP FOR BOWYERS BATTLERS
Seven nervous games remaining for Championship survival for Lee Bowyer’s Blues. After the monumental win on Good Friday against Swansea, supporters I feel have hope which was desperately needed when we were almost on the floor without any genuine belief.
Bowyer’s arrival is beginning to feel like the days of Rowett and to a lesser extent Gary Monk, when ‘giving it a right old go’ got all of us not quite buzzing, but excited enough to feel part of the fight. Brentford are decent but not insurmountable despite their obvious growing reputation for producing good players season after season.
Under Lee Bowyer I believe the players are growing with confidence and the fear of losing is not so blatantly seen. Whatever happens after the final seventh game is not remotely worth thinking about at this stage, but more of achieving a point per game. Not a lot to ask but nevertheless to reach a 48 points total is what our target represents. Some may feel more is required and that may be so- but that’s my figure. Would be interesting and helpful to know what fellow Bluenoses think the figure should be.
Last Friday we dragged out the prayer mats for Swansea, and at Brentford we just might be tempted to do the same.
Optimism is returning, despair is slowly being buried and hopefully by the end of week when games against Brentford and Stoke have been played- fellow supporters will be seen with long awaited smiles.

Despite all of the issues off the pitch let’s give our manager and the players all our support tonight ….as much as we can. KRO
At last Birmingham fans are beginning to believe and under the present manager have a right to believe, that when we go into a game that we have a chance, that belief has been missing for virtually all this season during the karanka era.
We may well need that prayer mat again this evening because after yesterday’s result we need a win to go back above Coventry, and if we win I believe we also jump ahead of Derby too. We need the points gap between ourselves and Rotherham but it would also be a great psychological advantage to ourselves and put extra pressure on the two teams who would be presently cushioning us from the bottom three.
As I’ve said before, whatever happens tonight and for the remainder of the season as long as our players fight for every ball (like they did on Friday) then we’ll support them and the manager all the way.

Well said John.Considering the size of our squad and the fair share of quality you have to ask why oh why didn’t Karanka and Ren use them sensibly. Questions certainly need answered at the end of term. My gut feeling of what has gone on is very uneasy and dubious.
