Midweek Pinboard 24 Aug 2023

Well? What do you think of events at the Blues this past week? And what are your expectations for the upcoming fixtures? Whether it is about results, performances or developments off the pitch, here is an opportunity to share your views on the week that has just been for BCFC and also to look ahead to the weekend.
Blues Trust will be posting the Pinboard every Thursday morning so that Blues fans can express opinions, good and bad, about progress as the season unfolds. And your thoughts for the fixtures coming up.
We hope you’ll participate, and maybe sometimes even start a conversation, by letting us and other Blues fans know what you think……

How is it possible that nearly three weeks in to the season we have nothing to moan about ! God it feels good , sitting pretty in the league , ground shaping up and owners we can trust . All we have to do now is ramp up the support and enjoy the ride , i have a feeling it’s going to get better .KRO
Agree with Mick, it has been an unusually pleasant experience following Blues so far this season, but for me the most satisfying aspect is we all feel things are likely to improve even further both on and off the pitch over the coming months and years.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there will be a few hiccups along the way-the players are only human after all-plus teams like Leicester and Southampton will be hard to match this season, but as it stands the squad is shaping up nicely. I feel we are a 15+ goal a season striker and a couple of extra defenders away from a very good side. Whether we recruit this additional quality over the coming weeks remains to be seen, but Blues must be a much more attractive proposition to players than in recent years, be they ‘loanees’ or ‘permanents’. I’m actually hoping we sign a young, hungry striker on loan from a Premier League club, whose goals could make a huge difference to our season.

Pleasing start to the season only marred to this morning’s news regarding Chang injury. Perhaps I have got it wrong but why so many injuries? Majority appear to happen during training days. Hamstrings especially. Maybe Sean Rush might like to enlighten us.
All I’ll say is ”It’s a LONG LONG ROAD” KRO💙💙
