Anthems
What makes a song become a football anthem? Songs like “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles”, “Three Lions”? Who knows what makes them special and instantly associated with particular teams by fans of the game across the world?
Birmingham City, already known for the rousing “Keep Right On”, now finds it’s fans captivated by a new song. A hybrid of UB40’s “Food For Thought” and “Keep Right On” morphed into a new fans’ favourite, with “Forever True” going to the top of the iTunes download chart above the likes of best selling Beyoncé and Benson Boone.
Fans all over the Championship will hear the emotional words ringing round their grounds when ‘The Royal Blue’ are in town. It’s a beautiful mystery.

Thanks Harry. Well said. But it set us thinking. What do other people think are the best and worst football songs ever recorded? If you have an opinion, let us know in the comments section below.
