At last Blues recorded a win their general play deserved, and against a Preston side chasing the play-offs. Stansfield’s finish was real quality and a fitting end to yet another tireless performance from the young loanee.

Sheer Lunacy
After a miserable run of fixtures which produced only one point from eighteen, and with frustration growing significantly amongst Blues supporters, the club moved to address a potentially calamitous situation by relieving Mark Venus of his duties and installing Gary Rowett as interim manager until the end of the season.
Back To The Future
Blues went into the current international break above the relegation zone, but only on goal difference.
