BCFC Anniversary Memories

24 Jun 2025

My first match was some 67 years ago. I stood (of course) on the Kop, right by the running track. I was wide eyed at watching a 1-1 draw. And I was hooked for life.

Winning away is always special. Attacking the Tilton under floodlights sends my heart racing. And beating Villa…..? Well, always wonderful. I was in their boardroom as a guest of Doug Ellis when we won 2-1 which I loved.

Winning at Wembley three times (so far) has been amazing. But the best bit is going to see Blues with my sons and grandsons from London, Zurich and Florida. Very special for me, and they flew in to join me in April for my 4th Wembley trip. The Club is a big part of our family life.
