Coventry City Away
FSA CAMPAIGN: STOP EXPLOITING LOYALTY
As everyone will be aware, tomorrow Blues play an away fixture at Coventry City. The fixture has already attracted a great deal of attention over the past few weeks but, sadly, for all the wrong reasons given the exorbitant ticket prices being charged by the Sky Blues.
Despite the adverse publicity generated, Coventry City Football Club has not reviewed its match day prices for the game. As a consequence, those Blues fans attending are having to pay £45 for adult admission, £40 for seniors and young adults and £35 for under 18’s.
Blues Trust continues to view these prices as a scandalous measure to exploit the loyalty of fans, in this case mainly Blues supporters but also any casual Sky Blues fans attending the game.
Blues Trust again encourages any Blues fan going to the game to avoid giving Coventry City FC a single penny more by refusing to spend money on refreshments, programmes, merchandise etc at the ground itself. Consider buying food and drink away from The Coventry Building Society Arena if you can, and avoid club kiosks and fan zones.
It is time for clubs to stop exploiting loyalty.
At the same time, Blues Trust reminds everyone attending to have regard to the statement issued by the Blues this week about individual behaviours before, during and after matches. There have, it seems, been a number of incidents so far this season which are damaging the reputation of Blues fans and causing concern for the club itself. The possibility of reduced ticket allocations for away matches has now been raised and surely no one wants to see that when Blues routinely sell out?
