How ironic that on the very same day the encouraging FLR interim report is published, highlighting as it does many of the very real risks facing the future wellbeing of the sport, reports emerge that Harry Kane is finally on his way to Manchester City…..for £160 million and a weekly wage of £400k. Or £20 million a year, give or take. If true, am I the only one that finds those figures obscene and disgusting?

Is it any wonder that football is slowly but very surely strangling itself if the economics of the madhouse are allowed to play out in such a fashion?

Well done to all at the Blues Trust for contributing to the Review in such a thorough and meaningful way. Keep on banging the drum for the urgent reforms that are so evidently necessary to save our sport!
