Blues Trust members have chosen Matija Sarkic as their Player of the Season. In a poll of all Trust members, 16 players received recognition. Sarkic came out on top with 26% of the votes cast. Gary Gardner was runner up with 20%.

Blues Trust Chair, Cliff Horrocks, presented the award to Matija at the club’s Annual Awards ceremony held at the ICC on Sunday 8 May.

Following a separate ballot of Trust members,  Pamela Allsopp had originally been selected to present the award but unfortunately she was unable to attend the event on the day itself.

Matija thanked Blues Trust members for the award and was particularly interested that it had been hand crafted in the Jewellery Quarter by a Bluenose, Neil Grant of Crescent Silver.

Blues Trust would like to thank everyone who submitted a vote.

Says a lot when our player of the season isn’t ours and hasn’t played for us for months..the other “players “ should be ashamed
