Ground Improvements Back Underway

11 Sep 2023 | 3 comments

Blues today announced that remedial works to the lower Tilton and Kop stands have recommenced. This follows a delay caused by the previous contractor, Buckingham Group, going into administration. Mace, the international consultancy and construction firm, has been appointed construction manager with immediate effect.

The announcement in full can be read here

Works are now expected to be completed before the end of November 2023.

Good news all round, and another example of positive action on the part of the new regime now running the club.

This is great news. It is just so important to have the ground fully functioning if we are going progress fully on the pitch.

The fact that a new contractor has been put in place so quickly is testament to the hard work and professionalism of the team behind the scenes at the club.

Never thought I’d be able to say that 6 months ago.

Completely agree Lich Blues. What a transformation in such a short period of time. We now have people running the club that care and with the financial muscle to make important decisions. I would be surprised if costs have not increased as a result of the problems caused by the previous contractor going into administration, but the new regime clearly see the bigger picture and have taken it in their stride. Well done them!

Having watched drone footage of liverpool and evertons ground development and building ive ordered my first drone . I think I’ll go to the blues every Sunday and fly it so I can video the work being done . Then post it on YouTube so it’s available for everyone to watch .
