Get Well Soon Tom

12 Feb 2026 | 15 comments

Everyone at Blues Trust was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Tom Wagner’s stroke. An event like that is difficult to comprehend at the best of times, but when it happens to someone at the age of only 56 and someone who is bristling with energy and vigour it stops us all in our tracks.

Thankfully, Tom survived this medical emergency and according to the statement from the club he is receiving excellent care and the prognosis is good.

Under Tom’s incredible leadership our great football club has been utterly transformed and he has given us hope and belief that the good times will return.

Everyone at Blues Trust will offer whatever support we can in the coming days and weeks ahead. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom and his family for his speedy recovery.

I am sure we speak for all Blues Trust members and the wider Bluenose community that we look forward to seeing Tom back at St Andrews very soon, in what we are sure will be a very emotional return for all of us.

Meanwhile, we have every confidence that the whole club (team and fans) will do all they can to ensure that we are in great shape to push for promotion in the coming weeks. And, of course, that progress with the regeneration of east Birmingham will continue apace.

Under the wider Knighthead team and Jeremy Dale’s leadership the club will continue our amazing progress whilst Tom recovers.
