We’ve been contacted by supporters’ groups from numerous top-flight clubs who are still waiting on September’s TV fixtures to be released (*taps watch in general direction of the Premier League*) and we know that many will be moved away from the traditional Saturday 3pm.
The Football Governance Bill was back in the Commons this week for its Third Reading and passed by 415 votes to 98. It now looks set to gain Royal Assent, and thus become law, before Parliament closes for summer recess on 22nd July.
Parliament is due to break for its summer recess later this month and the Government looks set to push through the Football Governance Bill beforehand – with help from the FSA and fan groups.
We are calling for an immediate freeze on the use of facial recognition technology by football clubs at the turnstiles.
Football supporters from across the country and all levels of the game gathered together in Manchester on Saturday 14th June for the FSA’s 2025 AGM.
